Beginner or expert, comfortable or uncomfortable, skilled or unskilled: whatever your current level, Mark Seaton’s ultimate aim is to ensure a fantastic experience, maximize your valuable time together, and provide you with the necessary skills to ascend and descend a variety of alpine peaks in safety, allowing you to progress rapidly in your development as a ski mountaineer, alpinist or rock climber.
Mark organizes unique skiing, climbing and mountaineering pursuits in the French, Swiss and Italian Alps and throughout Europe. Rather than selling inflexible prepackaged tours, Mark uses his deep knowledge of the region’s topography and its weather, snow, ice and rock conditions to tailor a custom experience for each client.
“Within the Chamonix Valley I especially love the day ski tours in the Aiguille Rouge and its fantastic rock climbing in the summer. Nevertheless, although Chamonix is the mountaineering capital of the world I also believe that Chamonix is a uniquely positioned hub from which many other interesting places can be reached quickly. My aim has always been to be as flexible as possible and be able to go where the conditions are good at the time rather than trying to crowbar a given itinerary into an impossible weather and conditions forecast.”

Skiing
Guided skiing with Mark means doing his best to ski away from everyone else, in the best snow, often in places you (and the crowds) have never heard of.
Whether ski touring using muscle power or off-piste skiing using mechanized lifts, getting away from the crowds and into great conditions is accomplished by taking advantage of the huge range of options within easy range of the village of Chamonix. Mark may elect to…
- Put on skins and climb over a col into a new valley,
- Get in the car and quickly drive to an unheard of resort, or
- Get a helicopter assist to a high peak.
Climbing
Chamonix is a hub from which you can easily reach a lifetime supply of incredible rock and alpine climbs throughout the Alps. The season runs from mid-March until November.
The sunny limestone cliffs of the Mediterranean coast are surprisingly close, too, for winter, spring and autumn rock climbing.
